This project was to solve a problem identified during an interview with a mother and child on concerns with school work and anxiety. The problem to solve was how to bridge the gaps in communication between not only guardian and child but with the school system, so children can reach their full potential.

Tequila Ocho, an evolving premium tequila brand, was seeking a refreshed set of assets to take on the road, creating thoughtfully designed environments for tastings and authentic conversations with consumers at wine and food festivals, spirits expos, and more.
They needed a build that could adapt to various event scales: from a fully immersive 20x20’ footprint to a more compact version for tighter spaces. The solution had to be modular, flexible, and visually consistent across all configurations. In addition, the brand team desired smaller-format setups tailored for niche markets, lightweight, easy to install, and visually cohesive with the overarching system established by the primary build.
The result was a highly modular, visually striking representation of Tequila Ocho, layered with subtle experiential details woven throughout the build. Some were designed with the bar team in mind, enhancing the flow and ease of their craft, while others paid homage to the brand’s story, hidden moments of discovery crafted to surprise and delight.

This project was nothing short of an experiential designer’s dream. Partnering with a brand as refined and tactile as Tequila Ocho opened up a world of creative opportunity. Its materiality, craftsmanship, and cultural depth offered endless inspiration. The brief challenged us to translate those qualities into a modular build that could adapt fluidly from a 20’ footprint to just 8’ without losing impact.
I led the creative direction and design development from the ground up, shaping every element of the build, from the structural layout and material palette to the fine details that gave it depth and cohesion. While collaborating closely with fabricators, producers, and brand partners, I remained hands-on through every phase to ensure the vision was executed with precision. The result was a richly textured, flexible installation that felt both elevated and intentional, debuting at America’s 50 Best in the summer of 2025.
